FedEx Launches Fedex One Rate Flat Rate Shipping

FedEx Express has announced their new "FedEx One Rate" service for US customers. This is a new flat-rate option for shipping packages and is expected to make it more convenient for consumers and small businesses to control their costs by easily determining the shipping amount.

Customers can select a FedEx Express packaging size, an eligible FedEx Express domestic shipping service and destination. The cost is then calculated based on the packaging type, service selected and distance.

There is no need to measure the box nor weigh qualifying shipments (FedEx Envelopes 10 lbs. or less and FedEx Express boxes 50 lbs. or less). FedEx One Rate also offers simplified pricing, with 3 zones determining shipping distance.

Notable new features also include 5 new FedEx Express boxes added added to their current line of free packaging which gives FedEx a total of 12 packing options for all express shipping services.

The United States Postal Service also offers flat-rate shipping with its Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes and envelopes.
